So I have been asked to make earrings for a friend's wedding! We were friends as children, until we were in our teens, and I moved away to another state. She was one of the best friends I've had in my life, and I was so happy we found each other again. She is wearing stargazer or easter lilies in her hair, and wants earrings to compliment the look. Something shimmery or sparkle-y(another fake word?) but not long or dangley(I gotta start using a thesaurus or something). Now I just need to come up with a design. This is going to be hard. I made a sale on my etsy shop yesterday. I was really surprised to have my first sale so soon. From everything I've read over there, I was expecting it to take 6 months or more, not 3 days after my first listing! I was pretty shocked and super excited! I wasn't sure anything i was making was worth selling, but everyone talked me into trying anyway. They had faith, so i fogured if they thought it was sellable(real word?)maybe it was. Making a sale really made me feel like maybe what I make is worth selling! So I'm pretty excited right now.

So I've known about this site for years, and have been visiting to check out the awesome art posted here. But I never considered joining, as I never considered myself an "artist" in comparison to the incredible things I see here. But my doctor said "I saw this really beautiful website for artists to show their work, and I immediately thought of you, you should join that site!". I repeated this to my husband and laughed, but he said "I think you should, you are an artist". So, here I am. Artist or not, I do create. It may not be many people's idea of beauty, but it's what I create, because I want to. And that makes me happy. So why not show
